On December 29, today, the Seoul-based tech firm, LG revealed its next-generation OLED technology, “OLED EX,” that’s expected to enhance the brightness up to 30 percent balance against standard conventional OLED displays

It could also intensify the image accuracy and make the finished frame smaller. “With our new OLED EX technology, we aim to provide even more innovative, high-end customer experiences through the evolution of our OLED technology, algorithms, and designs,” said LG Display’s Dr. Oh Chang-ho.

LG is looking to involve more exquisite work on the LG OLED displays soon, and the company is named as one of the superlative OLED display makers amidst the tech industry; even many prominent mobile and TV makers are searching for LG to design their products to bring ultra-fine machines from their companies.

According to reports, these new improvements have two crucial changes. LG is working on deuterium in the LG OLED panel’s chemical composition and the amalgamation of algorithmic image processing. LG explained that the hindmost would forecast the operation of each LED in the TV based on personal interests, to “accurately control the display to more peculiar express the details and colors of the video content being played.”

However, OLED pixels cannot reach a similar brightness as LEDs; existing OLEDs can generate the highest-rated brightness levels up to 500-600 nits, whereas mini LEDs can reach up to 2,000 nits, sometimes even higher-ups. LG also assures that OLED EX technology can decrease screen borders. For instance, if you have a 65-inch OLED display in your place, and you are inclined to reduce the frame border, the OLED EX cab can reduce the frame width from 6mm to 4mm.

OLED EX also supports improved color accuracy. The sales of OLED gradually increased 70 percent last year. LG also announced that it plans to bring OLED EX technology to all OLED panels from early 2022. The sales of OLED gradually increased 70 percent last year
