LG budget smartphones
LG Electronics applied for a trademark on February 1, 2019, for LG K40 and LG K50. Both trademarks are classified as Class 9 with the description ‘smartphones’.
Within the K series, you will find the most inexpensive LG smartphones. The Q-series is directly positioned above, and the high-end smartphones are accommodated within the G-series and V-series.
Last year, the LG K8 and K10 were introduced on MWC 2018. Although the LG K30 was never released in the Netherlands, this device has appeared in America. It is, of course, possible that the K40 and the K50 will not come to our country. Nevertheless, this year you can expect new budget smartphones from LG.
LG smartphones at MWC 2019
LG will give a press conference on Sunday, February 24, 2019, a day later the Mobile World Congress starts. The Korean manufacturer will introduce its first 5G smartphone at that time, possibly the LG V50 ThinQ.
Also, the LG G8 ThinQ is expected; this is also a high-end smartphone. However, it is still unknown whether this phone is introduced simultaneously or if the G8 will appear sometime later.
In addition, it is in line with the expectation that LG will release one or more new budget smartphones within the K series. The aircraft will be on display one day later on MWC 2019.
