LG has introduced its new mobile phones; the LG G8XThinQ and LG Dual Screen, “designed to create a whole new way to multitask, enjoy content and socialize on mobile.”
LG promoted the new device as a practical way to extend the screen size, without actually bending the display like Samsung’s Galaxy Fold. The LG G8X ThinQ is an updated version of the LG G8 ThinQ with more focus on the user experience and the camera.
The G8X features specific unusual standout feature ASMR mode with the built-in camera app and a microphone that has the capability of 10 decibels to pick up. The new LG G8X ThinQ works with a secondary display, the LG Dual Screen, which plugs in via a USB Type-C connection. The secondary display is the same size as the primary display, 6.4-inch full-HD+, so the resulting device looks like a typical foldable smartphone. A hinge lets users turn the display to a full 360-degree, promising a sturdy build.
LG G8X ThinQ comes with a 4,000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The phone includes two 1.2W speakers and features a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC tuned by Meridian Audio that promises exceptional sound quality. The LG G8X ThinQ features a dual-camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary camera sensor and a 13-megapixel secondary shooter with a wide-angle lens.
The LG G8X ThinQ and the LG Dual Screen is expected to ship sometime this year while announcing pricing details later on.
