Today, January 30, LG announced via its ‘newsroom’ blog that it would bring the popular color options of LG V30 across its other smartphones, G6 and Q6. The color options Lavender Violet and Moroccan Blue will be available for both the G6 and Q6, and G6 will additionally have the Raspberry Rose as well.
LG is focusing on producing smartphones that are both high quality and emotionally expressive. We want customers to be able to express their distinct personalities through LG’s unique and diverse range of color options. – Park Hee-wook, VP and Head of product planning of the South Korean brand
LG G6, the first 18:9 aspect ratio smartphone in the world, already has color variations: Marine Blue, Terra Gold, Mystic White, Ice Platinum, and Astro Black. Its 5.7-inch Full Vision display will beautifully blend with the added variations that are to be made available. LG Q6, on the other hand, is known for its large display, premium features, and affordability. This handset to has the same color options as of G6.
The new LG color variations aim to provide more options for the users in terms of being expressive, as LG puts it. The Moroccan Blue derives inspiration from the delightful blue buildings of the Moroccan city Chefchaouen. Lavender Violet symbolizes ‘everything finer in life’ for both male and female users. Raspberry Rose has a strong color saturation, which is rarely found in today’s smartphones. According to LG, events like anniversaries, ceremonies, and Valentine’s Day were in the designers’ minds.
The new color variants will be rolled out primarily in Korea for G6 and Q6 by the approaching February. These will reach the global key markets in the follow-up. As the smartphone maker states, pricing, release dates, and other related details will be locally announced.
