Minecraft has added PS VR support this month. This new update will allow the user to enjoy Mojang Studios’ game fully in VR. This update has been requested for a long time and has been much discussed among the Minecraft PS community.
The PS VR support is a planned PS4 feature that has been developed as a cross-platform play after Sony accepted the proposal along with the Bedrock version to PlayStation 4. According to the officials, the PS VR support will arrive via a patch for the main Minecraft game.
Users who already have Minecraft on PlayStation 4 will get that patch automatically. By downloading the same, the new functions can be used. It will be a Minecraft X PlayStation VR along with some new settings which can be used to tweak the experience to your needs.
VR mode can be accessed in the games in two ways: Immersive and Living Room modes. Like in the main game, the user can access the DualShock 4 controller to access all the moves in the games. The Minecraft x PSVR experience itself is based on the Minecraft VR tech that the company had developed for other VR platforms a few years back. SkyBox Labs have been working with their magic to convert and optimize the existing, the same for Playstation.
Thus it will be an interesting inclusion from the joint efforts of the companies which will enable the users to play games live and enjoy the real-experience in the best possible ways. We must ensure that this new offering is utilized to the fullest and see how this patch will take this gaming to the next level.
