Since Elon Musk took over Twitter in October last year, in a deal worth about $44 billion, he has been maintaining that he plans to step aside as Twitter CEO at some point but has never specified a timeline. In December, he conducted a poll to step down as Twitter’s CEO. Unfortunately, despite the promise to abide by the result of the poll, Musk didn’t step down as Twitter head.

In the poll, 57.5 percent of the 17.5 million votes cast were for Yes, while 42.5 percent were against the idea of Musk stepping down. Although Elon Musk said his priority would be to emphasize Twitter’s engineering as its owner, a familiar source reveals that the billionaire embarked on a search for a new CEO in December last year.

Elon Musk’s goal is to find Twitter successor

To affirm this, the billionaire executive said today that his goal is to find his successor to lead the social media company by the end of 2023. Elon Musk said via video link at the Dubai World Government Summit that he plans to step down as Twitter CEO by the end of 2023 and find a Twitter successor.

A similar caption was also tweeted on his Twitter page. Therein he posted multiple tweets earlier today, saying that the new CEO of Twitter (the picture shows a dog) is very good, much better than that person (referring to Musk himself), he is very good at Mathematics, and has a great personality, he was perfect for the job.

In another tweet, Musk said the last three months were extremely tough, as he had to save Twitter from bankruptcy while also fulfilling his initial duties at Tesla and SpaceX. As we know that apart from being Twitter CEO, Elon Musk owns the world’s largest electric vehicle, Tesla, and the satellite communications company, SpaceX.

“Last 3 months were extremely tough, as had to save Twitter from bankruptcy while fulfilling essential Tesla ans SpaceX duties. Wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone.
Twitter still has challenges, but is now trending.”

According to Musk, he plans to step aside as Twitter CEO at some point; however, he pointed out that Twitter needs to stabilize its operations, including its financial health and clarity on its product roadmap, before he steps down.

“I estimate that the end of this year will be the right time to find another leader because I think Twitter should be in a stable state around the end of this year,” – Musk
