Nikon has announced the development of its next flagship camera, the Nikon Z 9, using the Nikon FX format. The company announced that it would launch in 2021.
The camera will come with the company’s very own Z mount, and that the previous Z mount lenses would be compatible with the camera.
The official post revealed that the new sensor used in the Z 9 has never been used before for any of the Nikon cameras. The Nikon Z 9 is a mirrorless camera, and the company also announced that the camera will be capable of shooting 8K videos.
However, the company has not confirmed either the bit-rate or the frame-rate of the video recording capability.

Moreover, the camera also has a built-in vertical and horizontal grip. A few other sources have revealed that the camera will feature additional features such as dual battery and memory card support.
At the top of the camera, there is a shoe mount. With the added support and mounts, the Nikon Z 9 should support most external accessories, such as flash units and external microphones, without any issue. The camera might also offer water and dust resistance to some extent.
The Nikon Z 9 is supposed to replace the previous Nikon Z 7. The body for the previous mirrorless camera, the Nikon Z7, was priced at INR. 4000,000; the new model, which will replace the old one is supposed to be priced somewhere around INR. 5000,000 for the body.
The users need to pay extra for the external accessories, as is the case with any mirrorless cameras.
