Nokia had a launch gap for a while before the end of the year, but it has just now filled its smartphones lineup with the new Nokia 2.3. The model announced by Nokia belongs to its budget range and comes as a successor to the Nokia 2.2 with the focus on battery life and a dual-camera equipped with Artificial Intelligence. The Nokia 2.3 is now official and has landed on the market with a price of just over $120.
Like its predecessor, the Nokia 2.3 is intended to attract the public who are looking for an affordable device from a relatively traditional brand, and like its previous iterations of smartphone, the new Nokia 3.2 also stands out for its extremely clean stock Android Software and an iconic/durable design that now follows the likes of Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 presented a few months ago.

The device is made up of plastic and will be available in several colors, in addition to having a key to invoke the Google Assistant. Its polycarbonate body surrounds a 6.2-inch IPS screen with HD resolution. According to the company, improvements have been made to the panel that reduces reflections and improves the clarity of content. At the top of the screen, there is a small Dot-notch that houses the front camera.
Its interior is led by a quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor, which is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and a large 4,000 mAh battery, which as per the company’s claim can offer enough battery life for two days. Also, it has 32 GB of internal memory expandable by microSD.
For its software, Nokia says that, despite arriving with Android 9 Pie, the Nokia 2.3 will be one of the first mobiles in its category to upgrade to Android 10. Besides, it has secured system updates for a minimum of two years, and security updates for three, since it is based on Google’s Android One platform.
Nokia also claims to have raised the level in terms of photography, with a dual-camera at the back of this Nokia 2.3, a 13 + 2 megapixels setup is present. In that sense, improvements are made in terms of night and motion photography, in addition to a more complete portrait mode, with different blur effects.
On the front, we find a single camera of 5 megapixels resolution, which in addition to capturing selfies, acts as a biometric system thanks to the facial unlocking system. The device lacks any sort of fingerprint sensor.
The new Nokia 2.3 comes in a single configuration with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of expandable storage, and in three different colors: Cyan Green, Sand, and Coal. During its presentation in Egypt, Nokia has announced its immediate availability at 109 euros but has not given any details on which countries it will be available next.
