In the last few months, the eagerly awaited OnePlus 12 has received several speculations ranging from its design to display and specifications. The smartphone, which will succeed the OnePlus 11 Series, has been announced by the mobile brand to be debuted in China on December 4, without starting when it is coming to the global market.
As we move close to the official launch date of this much-anticipated flagship phone, a new leak has revealed the full camera specification of the upcoming device, offering a glimpse into imaging excellence. As leaked by tipster Mukul Sharma, the camera set-up of the upcoming OnePlus 12 is similar to OnePlus’s first foldable phone – the OnePlus Open, which was recently launched.
Judging from the poster image shared by the tipster, the OnePlus 12 is set to redefine smartphone photography with its impressive camera setup. Leading the pack is the 48MP Sony LYT-808 primary camera, similar to the recently launched OnePlus Open. This state-of-the-art sensor is expected to raise the bar for primary camera performance by providing remarkable clarity and detail in images.
The 64MP OV64B periscope lens from OmniVision hopes to enhance the OnePlus 12’s photographic capabilities and add another level of adaptability. With this lens’s 3x optical zoom capacity, users may easily zoom in to capture clear images of far-off scenes. The periscope shape adds to the device’s svelte form and improves zoom capabilities.
The 48MP Sony IMX966 ultrawide sensor enhances the primary and periscope lenses and promises to enable users to shoot wide-angle views with accuracy. With its ultrawide sensor, OnePlus hopes to produce immersive graphics for both group shots and magnificent vistas. This shows the company’s dedication to providing a flexible camera arrangement for a range of photographic circumstances.
Additionally, as we all know, the device comes with the latest Qualcomm chipsets. Hence, the OnePlus 12’s camera technology offers a comprehensive image experience rather than merely megapixels. A significant improvement in image quality is promised when Hasselblad-tuned sensors are paired with the potent Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s enhanced ISP (Image Signal Processor).
Come December 4th, the OnePlus 12 will be officially debuted in the home country. Other features and specifications expected in the device are a 120Hz 6,78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM paired with 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, while recent leaks also hint at an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. For the battery, we look forward to seeing a 5,400mAh battery and offer 100W wired charging.
