Several OnePlus users have expressed dissatisfaction over experiencing camera downgrading problems after updating to OxygenOS 12 update on their smartphones.
Last week the Chinese smartphone giant rolled out the OxygenOS 12 update on the Oneplus smartphones.
Then, the OxygenOS 12 update was rolled out on OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, 9R, 8, 8 Pro, and 8T, while other OnePlus smartphones like OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, 7T Pro, Nord 2 5G, Nord 1, and the Nord CE 5G are expected to get theirs in the future.
According to the mobile giant, the OnePlus OxygenOS 12 update brings system updates and fixes background applications abnormally terminating, lens permissions, Wi-Fi connection difficulties, and unresponsive screens when receiving alerts. It also addresses a problem with Bluetooth wireless earbuds.
Additional Shelf card type options, access to the OnePlus Scout and the OnePlus Watch Card on the Shelf, an option for WLB in quick settings, and more are available to users. Also, the OnePlus has redesigned the Gallery app, which now allows users to switch between multiple layouts using a two-finger pinch motion four users friendly.
However, most users who have updated to the OxygenOS 12 faced one or more camera downgrading or color science messed-up problems.
A OnePlus 9 pro user, who bemoan his dissatisfaction via the OnePlus Forums after updating to the OxygenOS 12, said:
“After OS12 Update on my OnePlus 9 pro while calling the front camera, the green light turns on and also on the audio call of Whatsapp.”
Another OnePlus user lamented that his smartphone camera quality went down after updating to the latest version OS12.
In his words: “Go for a solution for the maximum customer facing the same problem with the camera after upgrading OS12.”
Expressing his whimper, a OnePlus 9 Pro user who experiences color science messed on his smartphone after updating to the OxygenOS 12, lamented thus:
“Ever since the OS 12 update for the OnePlus 9 Pro, the camera’s color science has been completely messed up. You’ve pushed up the saturation so much that it.”
In addition, another OnePlus user, who encountered camera degradation after updating to OS12 explained that:
“After updating to OS 12 the camera is downgraded, they dynamic range, contrast, saturation everything become worse please make it good.”
