It seems that the Chinese Tech giants, OnePlus who launched themselves into the market with their smartphones and then smart televisions, are now planning to venture into the Smartwatch segment.
The watch has been reported to be certified by the Singapore based IMDA and it has a model number W301GB. Besides OnePlus, their sister brand Vivo is also planning on a Smartwatch launch as the other competitor, Oppo has already dropped their OPPO Watch and Band this year for the consumers.
It is yet to be seen whether it will be a full-proof Smartwatch or just an advanced fitness tracker. The launch of OnePlus Watch will perhaps happen in the year-ending phase along with the launch of OnePlus 8T. We specifically do not have any information on the specs of the watch as only a placeholder image has been made available on different social media platforms.
The OnePlus Watch must try to do something unique with the OS just like it does with the Oxygen OS in smartphones. Whether the dial will be square or regular round and what colors it will be available in, we are yet to be found out. The certification must have contained additional information alongside the numbers, but OnePlus has not out-bashed the speculations on the products like all other times.
OnePlus has recently ventured into the mid-range Smartphone segment and thus the pricing and specifications shall be a matter of excitement for all tech-lovers. It is only for time to tell what we get in the wearable package offered by the most trusted premium Smartphone makers from China.
