As years pass by, smartphones are becoming more and more technologically advanced, and the changes are quite heightened. Smartphone displays have grown notches, and even water drop notches, the cameras have gotten sharper, and battery life continues to get better and better. Some phones do not need to be charged using a wired connection. Instead, they can be charged wirelessly using a standard of wireless charging called Qi. Many companies have already launched their part of wireless charging phones and OnePlus finds this the high time to announce its upcoming plan to join the trend as well.
OnePlus has previously hinted that it’ll add wireless charging to its phones in the future, but the company’s implementation of the feature wasn’t ready for the public quite. However, that might be changing soon as the company has just hinted on its Twitter account to bring about a new charger, and we can hope it to be the wireless charger.
Unlike most phones that have been released recently, the OnePlus 6T does not support any kind of wireless charging. Going by the close relationship shared between OPPO and its sister company, OnePlus, we can guess that the next OnePlus flagship, the OnePlus 7, may have support for wireless charging. The undeniable fact is that some OPPO and OnePlus phones share very close features and have generated speculations that the next OnePlus flagship may follow suit and launch a phone with wireless charging.

Besides the wireless charger, the OnePlus 7 is rumored to have a Snapdragon 855 chipset. According to leaks, the phone suggests not having the notch but being replaced with a slide-out camera. Beyond that, the phone is expected to have a glass back since OnePlus only recently switched to the glass design with the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T.
As per the rumors, the OnePlus 7 will release the first 5G phone in Europe, which will probably launch in the second quarter of 2019. There’s no word on what the OnePlus 7 will cost.
