The netizens have heard about 5G since last year and are under the impression that soon it will reach them. According to foreign media reports, the highly anticipated 5G has finally been commercialized, and this came to fruition only last year.
However, this does not automatically guarantee that it will immediately be expanded in the next few years. As of now, 4G will still hold the dominant position worldwide in the upcoming few years.
A lot of tech companies are placing their bets on 5G. Likewise, Oracle, a commercial database software company and integrated cloud application and platform service provider, is extremely enthusiastic and optimistic about the development that is taking place for both 4G and 5G services.
Furthermore, the company is planning to sell 4G and 5G core network services to mobile operators sometime this year. However, these services will be available on the Oracle Cloud. This news has a positive side: the operators can regularly provide the services they need.
Considering the company’s business strategy, it goes without saying that Oracle executives will also share the advantages of cloud-based 5G core network services.
Travis Russell, Oracle executive recently at a conference mentioned that 5G is built on cloud, and so it makes Oracle the perfect candidate for the software-as-a-service model. This way operators can also smoothly navigate through maximum traffic, and they will have the upper hand, in the sense that the operators can adjust the usage as per their needs, and pay accordingly.
So far Oracle is the only company that is providing 5G core network services, and that too through its own network.
