Tesla gets its secret video game features out of the shadows and puts them in the foreground. It’s called Tesla Arcade, a new gaming center for its range of electric vehicles. And in the early afternoon, the company brought a Model 3 to downtown San Francisco to rent there. The company has added Beach Buggy Racing 2 to the Arcade. It is an Android racing game that you can play on a phone or tablet. The special feature of a Tesla car, however, is the controller: The literal steering wheel of the model 3.
The taste of Elon Musk for video games has been present in the integration of several titles that one could play on the Tesla touch screen. The latest addition to the catalog is Beach Buggy Racing 2, a racing game that was shown during the panel in which Musk participated during the last E3 2019.
Beach Buggy Racing 2 is a title developed by Vector Unit very similar to Mario Kart and other representatives of the genre. A major attraction of this game is that you can use the car’s steering wheel and pedals to control your virtual character while you play.
Among the options available are 22 tracks that can be mastered on board a caricatured version of the Tesla. This app comes with multiple characters to unlock, as well as special attacks that you can use to eliminate the other runners.
Beach Buggy Racing 2 can only be played when the car is parked. Tesla announced that it would hold play sessions in its physical stores throughout June, where users will be able to try out this and other classic titles inside the car.
Beach Buggy Racing 2 will be available as of today through a software update. Tesla did not offer details regarding the release date of the next games. So far it is known that Cuphead and Fallout Shelter will be available in all Tesla cars sometime in the summer.
