Sony has begun taking pre-orders for the PlayStation VR2, but getting one at the first launch is not an easy task. The VR headset is now available for pre-order with launch titles for the newest version of PlayStation VR 2, which will be arriving in February.
The highly anticipated PlayStation VR 2 headset will probably sell out immediately, similar to how the PS5 did. To make it even more difficult, your local game retailer might not get PSVR 2 stock right immediately. This is due to Sony’s announcement that retail partners would not be involved in the first sale of the new VR headset, which will only be available for purchase straight from Sony’s official website.
PlayStation VR 2 pre-order registration does not guarantee order placement
Pre-order registration for PSVR 2 is currently available in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
In order to pre-order PlayStation VR 2, one must not only have a PSN account but also express your interest in doing so. All you have to do is follow these simple steps: Visit the official PlayStation VR2 website and select “Register to pre-order” to pre-order PS VR2. After logging in with your PSN credentials, select “Register Now.”
Sadly, not everyone who applied will be selected at this point, but will keep coming in until the PSVR 2 launches on February 23, 2023. If you are chosen, a member of the PlayStation team will contact you and provide you with further information.
PS VR 2 is available for pre-order in 2 distinct bundles
The PS VR2 costs $549.99 when purchased as part of a bundle that also includes a stereo headphone set, a set of PS VR2 Sense controllers, and the PS VR2 headset. A bundle including a digital version of Horizon Call of the Mountain is also available at $599.99.
Furthermore, more than twenty games are now being developed for PS VR 2, according to Sony, which has confirmed this several times.
