Porsche released a new all-electric Taycan, the 4S after Taycan Turbo and Turbo S. Porsche officials mentioned that the new line from the Tayacn series will slightly be less expensive. Two electric motors will be placed at the front and at the rear end of the car each. Two-speed transmission is added at the rear axle.
The Taycan 4S will be available in two different power levels, one with a single-layer, 79.2-kilowatt-hour battery, with 429 horsepower (522 hp on overboost in launch control) and 472 pound-feet of torque, and the other one is the Performance Battery Plus option with 93.4-kWh battery from the Taycan Turbo and Turbo S, delivering 482. It can reach up to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and it can reach the maximum speed of 155 mph.
The new less-expensive Taycan 4s will have the same charging options as the other Taycans with the 800-volt DC fast-charging station. Charging time would not be an issue either as the car can go from 5% to 80% in 22 minutes.
The 4S has 19-inch wheels adorned with red brake calipers it comes with Porsche’s 4D adaptive chassis and three-chamber air suspension. Other than this, the 4S will feature the standard Porsche features. For its interior, the seats will be covered with a partial-leather interior.
Comfort Access keyless entry and ambient interior lighting are also a part of the standard Porsche accessories. If the customers want a leather-free interior, they can get their 4s customized using materials other than leather.
Porsche announced that the new Taycan 4s will be less expensive than any other Taycans. The price starts from $103,800 for the standard version and $110,380 for the Performance Battery Plus option. They Taycan enterprise saw the reduction in price of over $150,900 from the base price of the Taycan Turbo.
It will officially go on sale earlier next year, and it is available to order now.
