Are you a gamer? Then this news is of your concern. Have you been waiting to experience reality in your gaming world? PlayStation has been feeding you with that experience already, right? But here is the catch. PlayStation is already patenting something even more interesting.

You may be wondering as to what may be more real than the one that already exists. Well here it is. The new Facial Tracking system will bring about a more realistic view of your game.

Sony Interactive Entertainment is thinking to bring about many new technologies and it is parenting them. The Facial Tracking system in PlayStation VR is one of them on the list. With this system, the facial expressions of the users will be tracked and then the data will be used to generate better facial views by the user wearing the head-mounted display (HMD).

So this HMD has a display that makes the virtual reality viewable. In the HMD there is a sensor that tracks the movements of the eyes and mouth. Images of the face are captured when the movements take place. And after this, the images are coming joined to produce the moveable image of the user that looks more realistic than ever.

The images thus produced, or rather the the virtually real face that is thus produced will be available for others users to view, provided they are allowed that option by the user.

The face does not only consist of the eyes and the mouth. Right? Something is definitely missing. Yes the nose. PlayStation VR team is taking special care to produce the nose of the user though the HMD.

The patent has a lot to say about the production of the images of the nose. it weirdly specific about how the nose is to be made available for the user. The system of capturing the images of the nose remains the same. Just that bose is more lifted than eyes hence the augmented reality to be produced needs to be more advanced. And Sony is trying to explain that they are taking extreme care to provide the users with the absolute real experience possible.

So with the almost exact features of the eyes, mouth and nose, the face thus produced will make the seamless experience for the gamers to view their opponents and play better.

It is noteworthy that this idea was already ushered by Veeso in 2016 but the result was not satisfactory and they backed off. Currently, Facebook is also trying to make use of this idea and bring about its own set of technology to make its users avail of this hyperreal image system.

Let’s see when all such virtual reality generating techs arrive with time to give a more seamless experience to its users. Till then let’s keep our eyes fixed on Sony’s PlayStation VR.
