PUBG Mobile, one of the most popular mobile games, has added a new mode called ‘Arctic Mode’ on April 16. The game’s official Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages teased the new update, and finally, the update has been made official, and now it is free for download to all PUBG Mobile players.
The new gameplay is set in the Vikendi map, and one of the goals of this game would be to maintain body temperature via using various methods throughout the gameplay. This is what the players need to do in order to survive the periodic arctic storms.
Arctic Mode for PUBG Mobile will be available in the EvoGround game mode selection screen. In the new mode, each player will be given a meter that measures their body temperature, and the temperature will drop forcing the players to maintain their body temperature. At the same time, players will also have to fight against other players who are trying to loot and scavenge for resources. There are multiple ways in which players will be able to maintain their body temperature.
Some of the means through which they can maintain their body temperature are by igniting an indoor fire using lighter, and then hunt for branches to keep the fire going, hunt for wild chickens for meat, cook and consume the meat to restore body temperature. The body temperature can also be maintained using resources like the heater, health pack, etc.
Additionally, the update has also included snowboards in the map giving the players the ability to traverse the large battleground and assess their surrounding areas using a drone. However, it is not yet clear how the players will get access to the drones.
PUBG Mobile Arctic Mode is now available for update for free on both the Android and iOS platforms.
