Qualcomm Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, has announced today its upcoming mobile platform which shall feature System-on-Chip (SoC) built on the 7nm process node, which can then be paired with Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ X50 5G modem; the first anticipated 5G-capable mobile platform for premium tier smartphones and such other mobile devices.
Qualcomm has already started sampling the revolutionary the upcoming Qualcomm next generation mobile platform to multiple OEMs developing next-generation consumer devices. This platform is expected to transform industries, encourage new business models, as well as ameliorate overall consumer experience as operators come online with 5G services in late 2018 and all through 2019.
The flagship has been designed to enable premium connected devices bringing new intuitive experiences and interactions with power-efficient on-device AI, superior battery life, and performance while its uses extend at the same time globally to innovative technologies, solutions, experiences, and applications in automotive and IoT.
