Finally, the long-anticipated news has been revealed. The Redmi K60 series is coming to the Chinese market this month. DigitalChatStation, a well-known leaker, posted a tip on Weibo about the Redmi K60 series launch schedule.

DigitalChatStation claims that the phones would make their debut in China at the end of the month and might come in three different variants, most likely the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E. The tipster equally noted that the phones will be “King of Performance,” which might suggest they’ll include the latest MediaTek or Qualcomm processor.

Meanwhile, the Redmi K60 series is anticipated to make its debut around the globe, including in India, but will be rebranded as POCO devices. Recent rumours have provided a lot of information about the phones, including the size of the display, specifics about the processor, and much more. Now let’s look at these specs.

Redmi K60 Series Specs

The codenames for the vanilla K60, the K60 Pro, and the K60E devices are “Socrates,” “Mondrian,” and “Rembrandt.” The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC was rumoured to power the Redmi K60, while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC is expected to power the Redmi K60 Pro. This doesn’t make sense, though, given that the Pro version is rumoured to have a somewhat weaker chipset than the base model.

The MediaTek chipset is rumoured to power the Redmi K60E, however, the precise specifications of the SoC are not yet available. One possibility is the Dimensity 8200 SoC. The 6.67-inch QHD+ display on the Redmi K60 is anticipated to have a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

The phone’s 5,500mAh battery will allow 67W fast-wired charging and 30W wireless charging for the first time. The Redmi K60 Pro is said to include a 2K 120Hz display, 67W wired fast charging, and support for wireless charging.

The Redmi K60 will have three Sony IMX800 cameras: a 64 MP main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2 MP macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, the front will include a 16MP camera.

Launch Date and Availability

Going by the leaked poster, the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro are expected to launch on December 27 and will be on sale from December 31st in China. Thus, follow TechGenyz for more updates.
