In 2019, Samsung released a large number of new A-series models, from the Galaxy A10 to the A80. The Samsung Galaxy A Series has become increasingly popular within this line-up you also find interesting budget and mid-range smartphones. However, it is not known whether Samsung will name its A-series smartphones next year.
New Samsung Galaxy A series of smartphones
On July 29, 2019, Samsung Electronics filed no nine trademarks with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office). All applications related to the Galaxy A series. These are the following names – Samsung A11, A21, A31, A41, A51, A61, A71, A81 and finally the Samsung A91.
All model names are categorized as Class 9, with the description; ‘smartphones; mobile phones; tablet computers.’ Abril Abogados submitted the applications from Madrid, Spain. Abril Abogados has often acted in the name of Samsung Electronics, earlier this month the company was responsible for the application for Samsung LED Illuminated.
It seems that next year Samsung will simply choose to change the ‘0’ to a ‘1’. In other words, the Galaxy A10 is succeeded by the Galaxy A11, the A20 is succeeded by the A21, etc.
These applications also show that Samsung does not seem to choose to work with hundreds in 2020, such as a Galaxy A100, A200, etc. Usually, Samsung applies for a model name without the name ‘Galaxy’. It is often requested afterward, but since this trademark already belongs to Samsung, this is not necessary.
There is a good chance that the A11, A21, and A31 will all become budget aircraft. The Galaxy A41, A51, and A61 will cover the bottom of the mid-range, while the A71, A81, and A91 will become the more expensive mid-range smartphones. These devices, therefore, fall directly under the high-end Galaxy S series.
The Galaxy A30 and A50 were the first 2019 models, these devices were introduced in February. Samsung may first choose to release the A31 and A51, but this is still speculative. However, it is usually the case that a year passes before a device gets a successor.
Before the Galaxy A-series 2020 smartphone is revealed, Samsung will first announce the Galaxy Note 10. The press event is planned for 7 August 2019, where both the Note 10 and the Note 10 Plus is expected. Presumably, both 4G and 5G models will be released from both smartphones.
