It looks like Samsung is really up for the game as it is releasing its products one after another. While it is going to release two new Galaxy active wearables in Korea, it already launched its Galaxy Book Ion 2020 in China on February 27th this year.
The Galaxy Book Ion 2020 is a new flagship product from the company, per the reports. The price of the Book Ion 2020 starts at 10,599 yuan. This is a thin, lightweight laptop that comes with a metal body.
Features and specifications
As mentioned before, Galaxy Book Ion 2020 has a metal body besides having 12.9 mm thick and weighs only 970 grams. It comes with a 13.3-inch 1080p resolution screen along with QLED technology and has a brightness of 600nit. It also has German VDE certified 100% color rendering volume.
This lightweight laptop is equipped with ten generations of Core processors with optional Core i5-10210U or Core i7-10510U. It also has 16GB LPDDR4X memory and 512GB NVMe hard drive.
Most importantly, Galaxy Book Ion 2020 has a strong battery backup. It has a large 69.7 Wh battery that can last up to 22 hours with a single charge. Wireless charging is also available for the laptop.
Along with these, Book Ion 2020 comes with AKG stereo speakers, dual-array microphones and 720p HD cameras. It also supports fingerprint recognition, WiFi 6+ network and Bluetooth 5.0. Additionally, Book Ion 2020 has HDMI, one Thunderbolt 3, two USB 3.0 and supports UFS and MicroSD cards.
Price and availability
Samsung is yet to make an official announcement about the listing of the Galaxy Book Ion 2020. But, the reports reveal that the Core i5 version of the laptop costs 10599 yuan (approx. 108455 INR) and the Core i7 version costs 11599 yuan(approx. 118687 INR).
We still don’t know when the product will be made available in India. However, online booking is open in China from February 27th onwards. The laptop will hit the Chinese market on March 18th.
