“Que Sera Sera, Whatever will be will be” is the song that kicks off the promotional teaser of Samsung’s latest and most innovative approach to smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Fold, with the video indeed showing a device that seems to be able to do things unheard of before.

Although the video was posted on the Vietnam YouTube channel and taken down since it is full of conceptual ideas, the thing that is concrete about the video is the fact of the launch of a foldable smartphone by Samsung. Coming after a reveal of a similar device by Samsung last November, albeit with a smaller screen enclosed in a hard case, this video shows a much more complete device, with a full-screened front opening up like a book to make way for a much bigger inner display. The lack of any notch or holes on its smaller, unopened anterior suggests the use of the New Infinity display, which was announced by Samsung last November, along with the Infinity-V, Infinity-U, and Infinity-O displays.

As of now, the information available suggests a 7-inch foldable display panel, foldable down the middle to allow the device to close like a shell. A secondary display on the outside of the form factor can be used as a regular smartphone, while on being opened, the device will act like a bigger tablet. It is being suggested that it may be powered by an Exynos 9820/ Snapdragon 855 chip, with support for 512GB of internal storage. A dual 2,190mAh battery setup will give the device a mighty overall battery power of 4,380mAh. The price of the model is being speculated to be $1,800.

Since this video seems to have intermingled fact with fiction, there is no way yet of telling what features the device will ultimately comprise of; only that Samsung is all set to launch a fully-functional foldable device at the Samsung Galaxy S10 launch on 20th February 2019.

On a side-note, the video also showcases additional futuristic concepts like a motion tracking 3-way mirror-like display, an ultrasound USB-C attachment for Galaxy Note 9, some incredibly cool AR gaming action, and a tattoo app that is letting a guy draw a tattoo on someone from a distance with the help of a robotic arm.
