Samsung reportedly may launch the successor of the Galaxy M40 soon enough, and the tentative name for it seems to be Samsung Galaxy M50.
Previously online-exclusive Galaxy M-series would now be available both online and offline at the same price so as to eliminate price disparity.
The budget-friendly Samsung Galaxy M series smartphone lineup comprises the M10, M10s, M20, M30, M30s and M40, all of which were released in India throughout this year. This lineup has been purchasable only via Amazon India and Samsung’s online store so far.
The latest smartphone in the Galaxy M-series lineup, which is the Galaxy M30s, features Super AMOLED display, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, 48MP triple rear cameras, and a ginormous 6,000mAh battery with USB Type-C fast charging, at a price of just INR 13,999.
The new smartphone might come with a pre-installed Android 9 Pie OS based on One UI, and be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC. It might feature a 6.3-inch Full HD FHD+ display screen, alongside 3500 mAh battery with fast charging support, and camera setup of 16MP front camera and a 32MP triple rear camera.
Specifications of the upcoming smartphone are still vague as of now. The Samsung Galaxy M50 is expected to be launched on November 15.
Samsung has revealed itself to be engaged in evaluating the “incremental value proposition for its consumers, channel partners, and retailers to take further action accordingly” at present. It is expected that they would extend press invites for the launch event soon enough.
