Samsung Launches Galaxy On7 Prime That Features Samsung Mall Visual Search Feature

Yesterday, Samsung launched its newest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, with the new Samsung Mall visual search feature, which is its major highlight. It was teased beforehand on Amazon and will be exclusively available on the online store besides the Samsung Shop since January 20.

The phone is ‘one of the most affordable Samsung devices that have the support of Samsung Pay Mini, the brand’s signature payment service. Before coming to the specs and other details, let’s check out the major highlight. The Samsung Mall visual search feature lets you take a picture of a product in real life. You can as well select a photo from the gallery on your phone. Then, the feature identifies the product and even finds similar products from numerous online stores using visual info. Finally, you will be led to purchase the product from the Universal Cart of Samsung Mall. The feature further provides the convenience of all-in-one shopping which means you can go through different products across multiple online stores collectively in one place.

As for the specs, Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime bears 5.5-inch Full HD PLS TFT LCD display supporting 1080 x 1920p resolution. The processor is Exynos 7870 octa-core clocking at 1.6GHz. There are two variants in terms of RAM and internal memory, 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB. Both the models have microSD slot for memory expansion of up to 256GB.

The On7 Prime has a rear camera of 13 MP CMOS sensor, having f/1.9 aperture and autofocus. The front camera has same sensor and aperture but comes off without the autofocus. Furthermore, the OS is Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the themed Samsung Experience 8.5 UI. The smartphone measures 151.7 x 75 x 8 mm, weighing 167 grams.

Among connectivity, the Samsung device supports dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, micro USB, AGPS, and the 3.5mm headphone jack. The included sensors are the accelerometer, proximity sensor, and ambient light sensor. There is no gyroscope sensor (as usual for Samsung phones), but the home button has the infusion of a fingerprint sensor.

The phone will be available in two color variants, Black and Gold. As far as price is concerned, the 3GB variant has the tag of RS. 12,990 and the 4GB variant costs Rs. 14,990.
