Before the official release of the Samsung Galaxy S9 handset at the Mobile World Congress next month, it is reported that images of the Galaxy S9 have been leaked. The images come from Vietnam from someone who accesses a Galaxy S9 prototype. Much of the phone’s details have been revealed on Reddit, as many people have already tried the phone ahead of its launch.
The reported images show that the Galaxy S8 successor looks identical to S8, but the device name is much clear in the image, which displays Galaxy S9. The device will have the same bezel-less display and will still feature Samsung’s Bixby button.
The report suggests that the new S9 rear design is much different that S8. The camera and fingerprint sensor is placed differently, which was in an awkward position located next on the right side of the camera on the Galaxy S8. The sensor is now located below the rear camera.
As for specifications, sources claim that Galaxy S9 will include a 5.8-inch display and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 in the US, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The model S9+ is said to have a 6.2-inch display and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage. With a more improved camera, S9 will have a primary 12-megapixel camera, allowing it to switch between f/2.4 and f/1.5 along with 8-megapixel selfie camera, and the speakers are set at the bottom of the handset. The handset is reported to be available in stores from March 16.
