Samsung will launch three new tab models sometime in the year 2022, called the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+, and Tab S8 Ultra. A famous Korean tipster leaked in early July 2021 that Samsung might hold off the launch of the new Tab S8 series until next year.
The tech world is currently experiencing chip shortages which might explain why the South Korean tech giant decided to push the launch to 2022. Moreover, the Tab S8 series is expected to be accompanied by Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series of smartphones, which will arrive between January and March next year.
Although Samsung officially has not revealed any details about the upcoming tablets yet, a few sources have mentioned that the upcoming series of tablets will retain features such as quad speakers, S Pen support, and 45W fast charging across the range.
The keyboard doc support for the Tab S8 Ultra supports different modes, such as laptop mode, tablet mode, drawing mode, and viewing mode. The Tab S8 is likely to offer a refresh rate of 120Hz, an 11-inch LTPS TFT display, whereas both the Tab S8+ and the Ultra will feature an AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The S8 Plus is likely to feature a display of 12.4-inches, and the Ultra an expansive 14.6-inch. All three tabs will feature a dual-camera setup consisting of 13MP and 5MP shooters. The Tab S8 Ultra is likely to run on the next-gen Qualcomm chipset.
Previously, it was rumored that the Tab S8 Ultra will be powered by an Exynos 2200, while the Plus model will be powered by the Snapdragon 895 or the Snapdragon 898. Samsung is yet to officially announce the features.
The price for the base model of the Tab S8 could be somewhere around USD 750, whereas the base models of the Tab S8+ and the Tab S8 Ultra could be somewhere around USD 1040 and USD 1325, respectively.
