Today, India’s most trusted and Biggest 4W EV manufacturer, Tata Motors has officially announced the introduction of a pure electric vehicle architecture “AVINYA” to be unveiled by 2025.

Tata Motors is owned by Tata Passenger Electric Mobility and is the largest EV manufacturer in the country with an 82% market share in the Electric 4W market and has two fully electric models Nexon EV and Tigor EV.

According to the manufacturer, the upcoming EV is based on the brand Gen 3 architecture and is derived from the Sanskrit language where Avinya stands for innovation.

Speaking about pure electric vehicle architecture, Martin Uhlarik, Head of Design, explained that the design of the Avinya was influenced by the Catamaran watercraft. The vehicle resembles a premium hatchback, an MPV, and a crossover SUV in appearance.

The Tata Avinya EV was inspired by a catamaran and is supposed to combine the versatility of an SUV with the roominess of an MPV. The model’s front end boasts large DRLs on both sides, culminating in the Tata emblem in the center. Two-piece black inserts that resemble a grille will contrast with the body-colored bumper.

The EV featured Butterfly doors, cameras that act as ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars and a roof that creates a floating roof style, huge alloy wheels, a set of LED taillights, and an LED light bar running the length of the tailgate on each side, while a dual-tone finish, with a black diffuser on the bumper.

Similarly, the pure EV has a dual-tone beige and brown interior theme, a panoramic sunroof, a two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel with a floating instrument console, a soundbar in the middle of the dashboard, speakers mounted on the side of the front seats for second-row passengers, and an aroma diffuser on the center console.

The Tata Avinya concept’s powertrain is still a dilemma, but the manufacturer has stated that the vehicle will have a minimum range of 500 kilometers and can be charged in less than 30 minutes. By 2025, a production-ready version of the Avinya will be available. Thus, stay connected with Techgenzy for more updates.
