According to Elon Musk, Tesla’s fourth Gigafactory will have its location decided on by the end of this year. Musk also confirmed to continue sourcing European vehicle orders from Fremont, California factory until and unless a European location is ready for production.
Last year, Musk said that one of the leading choices for European factories is German. He also noted that “the German-French border makes sense” to build a factory near the Benelux countries. Now, the company is accelerating bringing its Gigafactory to Europe.

The company for long has been talking about building a full car assembly Tesla factory in Europe. Still, now it is announcing of closing on a factory for its European Gigafactory. Tesla has always wanted for a full battery factory and was suppose to confirm for a location by 2017, but the deal never got any closer.
Now, Musk is busy in finalizing for European Gigafactory before the end of the year. Tesla European Gigafactory would produce packs of battery, vehicles and other facilities that would benefit Tesla including the Netherland Assembly Plant that assembles vehicles and even distributed them throughout the region since 2013.
