It’s a happy heads-up for all the Twitterattis and Tweeples as the Twitter town might just get 2 new attributes plugged in for the user profile. A social media commentator and consultant, Matt Navarra, broke the news, tweeting to announce to the world that Twitter is testing a QR code shortcut button and a repositioned new tweet compose button for its more than 321 million monthly active users worldwide (as reported in 2018).
Twitter, the American online news and social networking service, have been both a hot-favorite and hotbed of issues and debates about the world, connecting people and enabling them to have their perspectives put up on the virtual medium and also have followers and follow people to stay updated with the Twitter feeds by people followed by them.
With the QR code shortcut button and a repositioned new tweet compose button being tested. Suppose they get the green signal for official incorporation. In that case, Twitter users will get to find and follow each other more efficiently and quickly, which will help expand the Twitter family from user-to-user end while also bringing in an increased volley of Tweets being posted in the platform as a whole, boosting its popularity in leaps and bounds.
Navarra’s Tweet suggests that the QR code icon will be placed beside the Edit Profile button of individual Twitter accounts for scanning the code and follow people with the help of it. The repositioning of the compose button to the center from its current placement at the bottom right corner of the user profile will improve visibility of the button for easier and faster access and thereby help multiply the information flow on the medium and upscale connectivity.
The ‘SMS of the internet’ will serve us better with QR code shortcut button and the repositioned new compose button (few users have already commented on Navarra’s tweet, articulating their love for the newly positioned composed button) and we hope they make it to the stable version.
