When it comes to getting instant news and updates across the world, Twitter is the most sought-after platform for social media users.  Now the micro-blogging site has tied up with Bloomberg to live stream the Democratic and Republican national conventions next week.

The two companies partnered to broadcast Presidential Debates between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton via the Twitter app. The decision may have been influenced by the apparent success of Twitter’s recent NFL streaming experiment.

The social media site announced it would stream Bloomberg Television’s live broadcast of the scheduled U.S. Presidential and Vice Presidential debates on Monday, September 26th. The stream will also include special Bloomberg Politics programming thirty minutes before and after each debate, which will be led by Bloomberg Politics Managing Editors Mark Halperin and John Heilemann.

Users can watch the stream through the web at debates.twitter.com, which is yet to be live, or simply follow the Twitter handle @bpolitics via Twitter Moments.

Here are the details of the debates scheduled for the Presidential Debate and Vice Presidential Debate:

  • Monday, September 26th, First Presidential Debate
  • Tuesday, October 4th, Vice Presidential Debate
  • Sunday, October 9th, Second Presidential Debate
  • Wednesday, October 19th, Third Presidential Debate

Twitter has proved to become one of the crucial mediums to share the voice of the US people. The first Democratic and Republican primary debates in 2016 received over one billion impressions on Twitter.
