After tons of assessments, Uber has finally released their self-driving trucks to roll on the highways of Arizona.

These self-driving trucks are being navigated by an app called “Uber Freight,” exclusively made by Uber. Uber has engulfed all the key functionalities like manual tracking into the Uber Freight app itself so that the driver doesn’t need to use multiple applications for operating the truck.
In the above-mentioned video, we can see two truck drivers being carried by Uber’s self-driving cars. They reached the appointed spot at the same time, and the transfer got done in a structured manner. With competitors like Tesla Inc., General Motors, and Ford Motor Co., Uber definitely needs to put some serious efforts into making a mark in this field. Though some experts have raised concerns about the safety and traffic handling capabilities of these trucks this concept will surely put an end to those tiring hour-long rides for the truck drivers.
These trucks are not being permitted to carry cargo in larger amounts due to safety issues as of now, but if everything goes well with the experiment, we will soon be seeing those trucks on the city streets also.
