The cross-platform game engine Unity has officially announced that it has acquired SyncSketch, a synchronous real-time collaboration tool which enables creative collaboration with a single URL link.

According to Unity, who stated that the SyncSketch team has officially joined Unity via its official website, maintains thus:

SyncSketch, which is comparable to the remote control platform Parsec, allows designers to create and interact from anywhere. Its core business, like Weta Digital’s, is to serve artists.
SyncSketch supports a variety of content formats, including 2D photos and videos, as well as 3D models. Users can rotate 3D assets in real-time, modify lighting, add notes, and exchange feedback.
SyncSketch’s CTO, Phil Floetotto, is a seasoned engineer and artist with over 16 years of experience developing pipeline tools for big visual effects studios. He created PIXAR’s internal production management platform, which is used to plan, schedule, and track all of the studio’s projects.
His experience as a VFX artist has given him a unique perspective on the creative process, allowing him to develop intuitive solutions that allow creators to focus entirely on their work.
