Today, the Chinese smartphone giant, Vivo in partnership with the electric vehicles giant, Tesla China has officially announced that they have successfully completed a digital adaptation of the sensorless car key for Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y cars.
The feature will be available on all models that support Jovi InCar, including the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y.
The Sensorless Unlocking smart experience includes automatic locking when you leave the car and senseless unlocking. The Vivo X, S, iQOO flagship series, iQOO Neo series, iQOO Z series, and NEX series models are supported by the non-sense unlocking.
As such, Tesla owners with these Vivo models can connect a digital car key to the “Wallet” app on their phones. When users put their OPPO phones near their Tesla automobiles after the setting is completed, the doors will automatically unlock. The vehicle will automatically lock when they leave with their phone.
However, it should be noted that the Tesla app must be upgraded to version 4.7.3-1028, and the Android version must be 11.0 or higher before users can enjoy these features.
Accordingly, sensorless unlocking is now available for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, with additional models to follow.
Similarly, Vivo’s Carlink, a full-scene travel solution, has launched a digital car key function in collaboration with Tesla. Vivo claims to have over 80 partners, including automobile manufacturers, two-wheeled electric vehicle manufacturers, tier 1 suppliers, and mobility service providers. By 2022, Vivo hoped to have the solution installed in more than 15 million automobiles.
Recently, it has become a trendy topic for mobile phone manufacturers to develop vehicles or automakers to build mobile phones. This is not a hypothetical situation, but a genuine one. Xiaomi, for example, has begun to produce automobiles, while Geely has begun to produce mobile phones.
Likewise, the United Depot has begun to adopt digital car keys for certain other mobile phone manufacturers that have not yet finished, such as Honor and Ideal, OPPO and Tesla, Xiaopeng Motors, and others. Stay connected with TechGenyz for more technology updates.
