One of the world’s most superlative automobile firms, Volkswagen has steeped into another milestone on its way. As per credible sources, a few days back, a report showed that Volkswagen Group sold a whopping total of 99,100 pure electric vehicles to customers by the end of March 2022.
When juxtaposed with 2021, the amount is considerably higher than the 60,000 vehicles in the same period. However, the whole automobile industry has been affected by the limited supply of semiconductors and wiring. When it comes to specific regions where Volkswagen has seen massive deliveries is none other than Europe.
The company has ventured through a lot this year. In the first quarter of 2022, Volkswagen delivered 58,400 pure electric vehicles in the European market alone and 7,900 pure electric cars in the US market in the same first quarter of this year. When we segregate it with the brands, the group leader Volkswagen has delivered 53,400 pure electric vehicles. Skoda sold 8,800 electric cars, Seat sold 2200 electric vehicles, and Porsche sold 9,500 vehicles.
The Volkswagen Group has announced that the demand for its vehicles has been genuinely increasing considering its construction people are showing concerns about buying a Volkswagen Group Electric Vehicle, so Volkswagen has already gotten its orders. If there are no constraints caused by the semiconductor supply, the delivery of Volkswagen’s pure electric vehicles will undoubtedly increase drastically.
In addition, Volkswagen’s electric models vehicles have been listed down according to its sales reports, the pure electric model Volkswagen ID.4 is the world’s best-selling model in the first quarter of 2022 for Volkswagen Group. With sales of 30,300 units, Volkswagen ID.3, a sales volume of 13,000 units, ranked second; Audi ranked third Q4 e-Tron with 10,700 units. Whereas Audi e-Tron sold 10,300 units and secured fourth place, Porsche Taycan sold 9,500 units and bagged fifth place.
