The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to launch in China in February 2025. It has also recently been spotted on BIS and is likely to launch in India as well. The recent leaks revealed by CNMO provided crucial details about the upcoming device.
Camera Specifications
The leaks revealed the rumored arrangement of the rear camera of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. As can be seen from the picture, Xiaomi 15 Ultra continues the iconic ring lens design of the previous generation, with the periscopic telephoto lens placed in the upper right corner of the ring lens, and three cameras lined up below.
The device is expected to feature a macro camera with a focusing distance of around 10cm, which will allow for capturing details. Besides, the camera module is anticipated to feature a red-ring design. It is also tipped to have a new coating for the telephoto lenses, which is expected to reduce lens flare and improve image clarity.
The device will also pack a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN5 ultrawide sensor, a 50MP short-distance zoom telephoto sensor with 3x zoom capability, and a 200MP periscopic telephoto lens with a 4.3x zoom capability, which will be an upgrade from the predecessor. On the front, it might pack a 32MP OmniVision OV32B lens, similar to the predecessor.
Display Features
In terms of display, the smartphone is said to boast a 6.73-inch LTPO display as seen earlier in Xiaomi 14 Ultra. While the predecessor features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will pack the recently launched flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
Battery
Although the specifications regarding the battery capacity are yet to be confirmed, the phone is expected to pack 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging.
Performance
The device is expected to be equipped with a 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. The front has slim bezels with a center-aligned punch hole cutout for the selfie camera, while the rear has a large square camera module with rounded corners.
Price
The device is a successor of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and is expected to launch in India at a starting price of Rs 99,999 for the sole 16GB+512GB storage variant.
