Xiaomi keeps sending updates to its devices, and this time the company has started the rollout to its flagship series: Mi 8, Mi 8 SE and Mi 8 Explorer Edition. The Chinese company has now released the stable version of the MIUI 10 interface, based on Android Pie for the devices, bringing improvements to the camera and new modes of shooting and photography.
Users who are interested in recordings videos will be delighted to know that the Mi 8 line now has slow-motion support at up to 960 fps, even with short videos, like most devices that offer this option. In addition, these small productions can be shared directly, through Social media apps, with friends and relatives in a click.
For the stills image on the camera part of the device, Xiaomi has added another feature that is very successful in today’s mobile computational photography, the “Night Mode”, which allows a higher quality of the photographs taken in low light environments, making a compensation through software and AI for more details, captured in a clear way.
As a new interface, MIUI 10 adds a variety of new features to help the user on a daily basis, giving even more versatility. With the reorganization of recent applications, which allows the user more complete visibility of the apps opened that are shown side-by-side on the screen and no longer grouped in a row, as it was in previous versions.
The update has just started to rollout among Mi 8 series users so it may take some time before reaching every region globally.
