Asus has introduced a portable workstation for creators who just need that extra punch of power, besides Asus’s longstanding promise of sleekness and portability. Since Asus takes gaming pretty seriously, it has now created a notebook that takes a creator’s work efficiency to the next level by providing him with an opportunity to edit movies, craft 3D models or build VR worlds, all on a comfortably manageable Asus StudioBook S. The device, with its combination of work efficiency and creative opportunities is all set to become a serious competitor to Dell’s Precision line and Lenovo’s ThinkPads.

Asus StudioBook S is available in alternatives of 2.2GHz, Hexa-core i7-8750H, and 2.7GHz hexa-core Xeon E-2716M capable of Turbo Boosting up to 4.4GHz, up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, and 4TB of NVME storage. As far as ports are concerned, the device includes a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C, three full-size USB 3.1 ports, plus HDMI out, besides a reader that can read SD card files at speeds reaching as high as 350 MBPS.

Asus StudioBook S has been equipped with a 17-inch, 16:10 display covering 97 percent of the DCI-P3 gamut, which helps it bring out any color the device might be painted with. Its 5.3mm bezels keep the screen-to-bezel ratio to a bare minimum, although it is not the lowest ratio that Asus has achieved to date (that credit belongs to ZenBook S13). The screen size also helps its portability, allowing users to move away from the desk even when using it. Added to this is the fact that the device comes with a 57Wh battery.

So far as its keyboard is concerned, 1.4mm key travel, spacious trackpad, on which a Numpad can be toggled directly, and microphone and webcam toggles, handy during a conference call, makes it a very efficient keyboard that is a treat to tackle.

Although Asus still has to announce a price for what may be one of the most efficient workstations for creators yet, prevalent information suggests that it is all set for a launch in the second quarter of the year.
