Ever since its conception 20 years ago, Google has been creating newer products for its users consistently; while also ensuring that their users are using their services securely. To stay true to their dedicated task of protecting user information, Google has started rolling out a newly expanded Safety Centre, starting today.

Google has updated its resources and pulled considerably more information into one site that has been dedicated to educating and empowering people on important topics like data security, privacy controls, and online protections. In the upcoming weeks, the site shall be made available in more than 65 languages.

The expanded Safety Centre shall start making its way to its users in India today. Easy security tips, data security, privacy control, and how to use technology in a way that is right for users’ family are some of the topics that are being covered by the Safety Centre in India; apart from making the information available in nine Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.

Over the years Google has created a number of tools dedicated to helping its users manage their privacy and security, and are always improving them to put the users in control. Some of these tools include ‘Google Account’; which gives users access to all the settings to safeguard data and privacy; ‘Privacy Checkup’ to quickly review and adjust what data Google uses to personalize user experience; and ‘My Activity’ to review and delete the activity data connected to the user account.

The Google Safety Centre is part of our ongoing commitment to give you tools and information to control how your data is used in Google services and help empower you to stay safe online. As technology continues to. – Mark Risher, Director of Product Management at Google

Apart from this, Google has also expanded special services to parents, who can now find information about how to use tools like ‘Family Link’ and ‘YouTube Kids’ to protect their family, as well as get tips on how to talk with their children and teenagers on such topics like being kind online, setting boundaries, and staying safe online.
