Since the VR project of HTC was not as successful as expected, there has been a price slash in the existing mobile phones of the company. And also, to achieve greater development in this area, they also sold their struggling mobile phones to Google. But now, after U11 and U11 Plus, HTC is preparing a new generation of flagship U12. The appearance and configuration of this phone have been revealed.
HTC’s U12 will make its debut sometime in April this year. The upcoming smartphone is said to sport a 5.5-inch LCD display with WQHD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 845 chipset paired with 6 GB of RAM. Coming to its expandable memory, it will feature 64 and 128GB of storage. Another interesting point is, that HTC’s second-generation Edge Sense software is also said to be on board, which lets the user open any app of choice by squeezing the device. Yet no details are available on how exactly the new generation will work on the latest phone.
This upcoming smartphone will flaunt a dual-camera setup at the back, featuring 12MP and 16MP horizontal row Double shots along with an 8MP front-facing camera. According to reports, the U12 will run on Android Oreo and come with HTC’s facial recognition system, Face Sense. It will arrive with an impressive, long-lasting battery of 3,420 mAh.
The smartphone U12 will also feature a fingerprint sensor at the back. And another very useful feature of U12 will include its QC4.0 fast charging and IP68 rating for dust and water protection.
