Huawei is going to debut the Mate 9, the successor of the flagship P9, confirms some rumors. Huawei has already confirmed that there is no plan to release a new flagship in September at IFA. But some rumors say the Chinese company may unveil the device by the end of this year.
AS reported by GSMArena, the specs of Huawei Mate 9 have been leaked by GFX benchmark. Some indexed specs are:
Display
The upcoming device will have an IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touch screen with a big 5.9-inches display. In addition, Mate 9 will be coming with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and will support 16M colors on the 1080 x 1920-pixel resolution along with multiple touches.
Camera
Huawei is expected to come with 20 mega-pixel main shooters and 8 mega-pixel selfie shooters. If the rumors are to be believed, the smartphone will have OIS, phase detection auto-focus with dual-LED flash. Moreover, the cameras have built-in geo-tagging, touch focus panorama and HDR, and face /smile detection features.
Some leaked photos posted online shows that Huawei might come up with a dual-camera setup.
OS and processor
As per a Gizmochina report, Huawei Mate 9 will run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, powered by Octa-Core 2.6 GHz processor.
Storage
Huawei, this time brings high storage capacity to its flagship device. Mate 9 is expected to support the micro SD up to 256 GB; onboard storage is 64 GB with 4 GB RAM.
Images circulated online show a fingerprint scanner below the cameras. If we consider the leaked images, the phone will probably come with USB Type-C.
According to rumors, Huawei may pop up in September at IFA in Berlin, or we can expect the device to debut in the year ends.
