Today, the German automobile giant, Mercedes-Benz, has revealed that it has set to unveil the most energy-efficient car in the history of man by January 3, 2022.
The car is named Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX, and it is likely to be at the CES show.
The Vision EQXX, according to Mercedes-Benz COO Marcus Schaefer, will be the most energy-efficient automobile in Mercedes-Benz history. It will be a little electric vehicle, but Schaefer did not specify whether it will be a sedan or not.
According to the Mercedes-Benz COO, Markus Schäfer, who speaks about VISION EQXX said:
“As you may know, we have been working on translating our strategic ambition to “Lead in Electric Drive” into a car for some time: Now, the VISION EQXX is set to become the most efficient electric vehicle we have ever built – with a real-world range of more than 1,000 km. And I’m extremely happy that it will be unveiled to the public very soon – on January 3, 2022.”
According to prior reports, the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX will be a prototype automobile that incorporates the EQ family’s latest and most cutting-edge technologies.
At the same time, the car’s battery life may be over 1200 kilometers. Energy consumption might be lowered to around 9.65 km/kWh with the use of superior aerodynamic design, which is extremely rare in the present electric car field.
The Tesla Model 3 EU certification’s average power consumption is 14K Wh. The aerodynamics are believed to be fairly good, given the excellent energy consumption.
On the other hand, Mercedes-Benz stated that aerodynamics is not the only area in which it is attempting to improve. They also want to boost the battery’s energy density, which is already 20% higher than the existing electric vehicle’s flagship model.
Mercedes-Benz will also use massive castings to save weight and seek to make Vision EQXX lighter. It’s worth noting that the last peek map also depicted a key feature of the new vehicle. According to the official, the new car’s mileage on a saturated charge can support it from Stuttgart to Nice or Shanghai to Beijing. The cruise distance will be greater than 750 miles (about 1207 kilometers).
