On Wednesday, September 8th, the American data communications, and telecommunications equipment provider Motorola Solutions unveiled the first in-car video system enabled by artificial intelligence for law enforcement agencies, M500.
The American data communications and telecommunications equipment provider is a leading global provider of communications equipment and solutions, with a reputation forfeiture-Richy, reliable, feature-rich handsets and systems.
The new first in-car video system aims to equip police vehicles with moto capabilities to improve community awareness and safety while also fostering confidence and transparency.
For instance, when a person enters the rear of a police car, the M500’s new backseat passenger analytics start the in-car camera recording automatically. This is a significant step toward automating a common policing challenge: ensuring that the presence of a person in a police car is securely recorded and that the video evidence is automatically labeled and stored in the incident record.
According to the senior vice president and chief technology officer, Software Enterprise and Mobile Video at Motorola Solutions, Mahesh Saptharishi, who speaks about the new M500 –
In his wordings: “Bringing AI to public safety in a responsible manner is critical for driving efficiency, safety ety, and transparency in the police. The simple chore of automatically capturing a person in the backseat of a police vehicle is only the beginning.”
“The M500 is the police car of the future, with AI and advanced analytics detecting more complex anomalies or dangers to improve awareness and safety for officers and public alike.” He added.
