As we anticipate the official release of the new Intel’s new-generation flagship processor i9-13900K by the end of the month, overclockers have conducted an overclocking test on the upcoming Intel flagship revealing that the processor can easily go to 8GHz with liquid nitrogen.

According to WccfTech, the overclocker overclocked the i9-13900K on a high-end Z790 motherboard, and under LN2 liquid nitrogen cooling, the voltage was added to 1.792V, reaching a high frequency of 8GHz. At the same time, the overclocker also stated that the i9-13900K can be overclocked to 8 GHz as a base frequency, with greater speeds anticipated once the product is officially introduced.

The i9-1390016 K’s small cores are reportedly disabled when overclocking, and the large cores’ hyperthreading is also reportedly disabled. As a result, 8GHz is reportedly accomplished on only 8 large cores, suggesting that the single-core overclocking frequency may be greater. However, given the earlier reports where the upcoming Igor’sLAB was exposed. The official PPT introduction information of Intel’s upcoming 13th-generation Core is revealed as follows:

i9-13900K / KF: 24 cores and 32 threads, turbo frequency 5.8GHz, base power consumption 125W, maximum turbo frequency power consumption 253W,

i7-13700K / KF: 16 cores and 24 threads, turbo frequency 5.4GHz, base power consumption 125W, maximum turbo frequency power consumption 253W and,

i5-13600K / KF: 14 cores and 20 threads, turbo frequency 5.1GHz, base power consumption 125W, maximum turbo frequency power consumption 181W.

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that the 13th-generation Core CPUs from Intel will be unveiled on October 20 and will be available in the early hours of September 28th. The i9, i7, and i5 K series models are among the first models listed. Accordingly, after its September 28 release, the 13th-generation Core i9K model will be offered for presale in China. While the i7K and i5K versions will reportedly go on pre-sale on October 13 at a domestic launch event that follows. Follow TechGenyz for more updates.
