At CES 2020, OnePlus teased a new smartphone made in collaboration with the automaker McLaren. However, unfortunately, the phone will not be available on the market just yet. In place of McLaren, OnePlus’s Twitter handle has introduced a new smartphone called the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition.
OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition teaser image on Twitter hints at the upcoming OnePlus laptop. Below the smartphone is clearly visible the keys of a laptop. This indicates we may soon have a OnePlus Laptop. However, no official confirmation on the same is provided by the company.
OnePlus officials have confirmed that the new smartphone will sport the McLaren design. From the looks of it, OnePlus will release a new limited edition OnePlus 7T Pro smartphone in red color.
OnePlus posted on Twitter a photo of its new limited edition smartphone. The OnePlus 7T comes with red-colored highlights along its edges. The smartphone features a triple camera set up at the back. The edges of the cameras, along with the mute slider button, are highlighted with the color red.
Now coming to specifications, the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19:5:9. The smartphone has a resolution of 1440 x 1320 pixels. The refresh rate is 90Hz. The fingerprint sensor is embedded inside the display screen.
Furthermore, the smartphone runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC integrated with Adreno 640 GPU. The smartphone has a 12GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The phone will run on Android 10 on top of OxygenOS 10.0.1 and has a 4,085mAh non-removable battery with 30W fast charging support.
The McLaren red color edition features the triple camera setup as used by the other OnePlus smartphones. The triple camera consists of a 48 MP primary camera, 8 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, a 16MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and an LED flash. The selfie camera is 16 MP.
The release date has not been mentioned by OnePlus yet, and they have yet to announce the smartphone’s pricing.
