PlayerUnknown’s Battleground’s next season is almost upon us. As such to commence the arrival of the new season, they launched a new 10-second long teaser. So far literally no information is available on the new season.
Would they introduce a whole new map, hitherto not used? Would new skins and/or costumes be made available? Would it take the players back to some of the most loved old maps? These are only questions as of now, and for the time being, no answer is attached to them.
The short teaser video only follows a fully costumed player running through a dark tunnel interspersed with smoke, with the sound of a looming helicopter in the background. Everything about the teaser points towards making haste, and leaving something behind, and subsequently, making a journey towards something new; but what? As of now, it still remains a mystery.
The current PUBG season 9 is scheduled to end on December 16th, and the new season may launch soon after that. Season 9 saw the addition of a new map with the release of Paramo. PUBG had mentioned that the developers would be taking the map out of the game the moment the current season reaches its end.
Season 9 will end when the ranked mode temporarily goes offline on December 16th, so players have until then to play on Paramo. Paramo is the first and the only dynamic map available in the game.
The dynamic nature of the game broke the habits of even the most seasoned players, and consequently, became one of the favorite battlegrounds to play on Season 9. Although PUBG has a history of ending a map, reworking them, and then introducing them again, it could also be that the next season of PUBG features a reworked Paramo map.
Season 10 primarily remains in the dark as the maps for the new season have not been discussed publicly yet.
