Samsung has officially announced that they will no longer release new models for the Galaxy J series, this was the cheapest smartphone series from the Korean manufacturer for years. It has been said for some time that this telephone series would be discontinued. Instead, the Galaxy M series was created early this year. Samsung has now announced via a YouTube video that the J-series will now merge into the Galaxy A-series.
Samsung Galaxy A series
The video features various characteristic functions of the popular A-series, such as a larger battery, fast charging, multiple cameras, Infinity display, and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The movie also shows the recently introduced Galaxy A30 and A50. These are the entry-level models and therefore ideal replacements for the J-series models.
The Samsung A Galaxy Event will take place tomorrow, among other things the Galaxy A40 is expected here. This is also a cheap phone that will probably get a price of around € 250. Last week the Samsung Galaxy A70 was also announced, this smartphone has a gigantic 6.7-inch display. In addition, the Galaxy A80 is expected tomorrow, this will be the first Samsung phone with a rotating slider camera. Enough new and innovative A-series models.
Samsung Galaxy M series
Samsung has now released the M10 and M20 within the new M series. Both are provided with particularly good specs, given the pricing of less than € 150. Both the Galaxy M10 and the M20 are equipped with a double camera and an extra powerful battery. In addition, the cheap telephones have an Infinity-V display or a small V-shaped notch. However, you cannot purchase these devices in the Netherlands.
Not much later, the Galaxy M30 was also introduced, this is the first M-series smartphone with a triple camera. A 5,000 mAh battery has also been installed. For a long time, it was assumed that this would be the first Galaxy M-series smartphone that will be available in the Netherlands. However, for the time being, you cannot purchase this model in the country. The M20 is also for sale in Germany.
