Samsung is introducing the Galaxy Tab Active Pro with an updated and larger 10.1-inch Full HD screen. The new Samsung tablet specially designed for a range of commercial and industrial applications. The device runs on Android 9 in combination with Samsung’s own user interface One UI.
The portable device is capable of performing important industrial tasks such as inspection reports, data entry and database searches (such as inventory research), CAD display, large-scale AR display, and high-resolution card checking. This way the tablet can easily be used in commercial locations or in vehicles.
Robust Android tablet
It is a robust tablet designed for use in sectors such as government, transportation, and retail. The design offers all the requirements for demanding use, including IP68, anti-shock technology and is MIL-STD 810G certified. The Pogo pin ensures compatibility with accessories such as the Tab Active 2, group charging and easy input via the Pogo keyboard.
The battery has a video playback time of 16 hours and a battery of 7,600 mAh, which works 45% longer than that of the Tab Active 2, according to the manufacturer. If the device is used continuously, the replaceable battery ensures a fully charged replacement when you are not at a charging point.
The Tab Active Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage memory, which can be expanded with a microSD card.

With DeX it is possible to perform PC-like tasks on a larger monitor easily or to use the dual-mode to edit or present documents easily. The robust Galaxy tablet has improved touch sensitivity, suitable for outdoor or harsh conditions. A glove mode is also built-in, for when users must wear protective clothing.
The versatile device comes with an improved S Pen that can be used when thicker gloves are required or when detailed or personal information (such as a signature) is requested.
The tablet is mPOS-ready for use in-store environments and restaurants with a secure payment and contactless POS. The NFC function enables ID checks and access control for industrial vehicles.
Using the Google AR core and the 13-megapixel AF camera, users can use Augmented Reality programs to inspect the equipment, provide remote support, work interactively, and train field workers through AR. The front houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
