Korean Samsung not only has a wide range of smartphones. The company also develops a wide variety of tablets. So earlier this year, the Galaxy Tab s5e was launched, and the cheap Galaxy Tab A. A recent trademark application indicates that Samsung intends to release a new tablet soon, a robust version this time; the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro tablet.
Samsung Tab Active Pro
On 13 June 2019, Samsung Electronics filed a trademark with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) for the name Tab Active Pro. The trademark is categorized as Class 9, with the description ‘tablet computers and portable computers.
The brand name registration has been submitted by Fieldfisher LLP from London. This company trades more often in the name of Samsung. Earlier this year , for example, Fieldfisher captured the name Dynamic AMOLED display for the Galaxy S10 series. The Samsung Rize series was also requested by this English company.
Although the name ‘Galaxy’ is not included in the trademark, it is likely that the Tab Active Pro will fall under the Galaxy line-up. Finally, this applies to all tablets the company has released recently. Moreover, it happens more often than Samsung has a trademark registered with or without the name Galaxy.
Robust tablet for business use
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 was introduced in October 2017 as a robust tablet for business use. Just like the first variant, this Samsung Android tablet had an 8.0-inch screen. The name Tab Active Pro seems to refer to a more expensive and powerful variant of this robust tablet.
Currently, Samsung is also running a promotion for the Tab Active 2, from 10 – 30 June you can buy this tablet via the Samsung website for € 452 instead of € 499. This is all the more indicative that a successor is coming soon.
Chances are that the new Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro tablet for the IFA 2019 will be introduced. This annual consumer electronics & home appliances fair takes place from 6 to 11 September 2019 in Berlin, Germany.
Yesterday, Samsung also registered a trademark for Portable SSD T7 Plus. This external solid-state drive will probably also be exhibited at IFA 2019.
