It looks like Sony is taking a leaf out of the Fuji playbook by introducing new substantial features through firmware updates. Sony A9 camera gets a significant feature upgrade with new firmware Version 6.0.
Now, Sony Alpha A9 camera has real-time Eye AF for animals with interval shooting functionality and compatibility with RMT-P1BT. The new version 6.00 adds real-time Eye AF for animals, with an additional option to select between animal or human Eye AF mode depending on the photographer’s situation. It can also create time-lapse videos with Interval Shooting.
Additionally, the update has improved the overall stability of the camera, making it more user-friendly. Photographers can now assign ‘My Menu’ when first selecting the menu button. It also allows selecting the Focus Frame Colour, enabling users to choose between red, grey, or the standard green.
